Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Caribbean Hotel Jobs (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to run a job board, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you apply without signing up, we create an account from the name and email you give us so you can follow up on your application.
• Job seeker profiles: the information you choose to add, such as headline, location, phone number, experience, skills, photo and CV.
• Employer profiles: company name, description, location, website, logo and photos, plus the jobs you post.
• Applications and messages: the applications you send or receive and messages exchanged through the site.
• Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To run the service: creating accounts, showing jobs, sending applications and delivering notifications.
• To keep the site safe: preventing spam, fraud and abuse.
• To send you service emails, such as password resets, application updates and new messages.

Who can see your information

Job seeker profiles are not public. When you apply for a job, the employer you applied to (and their team members) can see your profile, CV, message and contact details, including your phone or WhatsApp number so they can contact you. Employers' company profiles and job listings are public. Our administrators can access data when necessary to operate and secure the service.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are essential for the site to work: one to keep you signed in and one to protect forms against forgery. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes your profile, CV, applications and messages. Server logs and backups are removed on a rolling basis.

Your rights

You can view and update your information at any time in your account. To ask for a copy of your data or for help deleting it, email hello@caribbeanhoteljobs.com.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and CVs are stored privately. They can only be downloaded by you and by employers you've applied to.

Changes

If we make significant changes to this policy we'll update this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
