For job seekers
Does it cost anything?
No. Searching, applying and being contacted by employers is free, always. If anyone asks you to pay for a job, it is a scam. Read how to stay safe.
Do I need an account to apply?
No. On any job, fill in your name, email and phone or WhatsApp number, add a CV if you have one, and press send. We create a simple account for you in the background so you can follow your application. You can add a password later.
What kind of CV can I send?
A PDF or Word document up to 5 MB, or a clear photo of a paper CV (JPG or PNG). A CV is optional for many jobs. Our guide on how to write a hotel CV can help.
How will the employer contact me?
Most employers reply on WhatsApp, using the number you gave. Some reply by email or phone. Keep your phone on and check your messages, including WhatsApp message requests from numbers you do not know.
How do I know what happened to my application?
Sign in and open My applications. You will see its status: reviewing, shortlisted, interviewing, offer made or not selected. We notify you when the status changes or the employer sends you a message, and you can reply on the site.
How do job alerts work?
Create a free account, search for the jobs you want (for example "front desk" in "Barbados"), and press "Get job alerts". We email you new matching jobs once a day or once a week. You can pause, change or delete alerts at any time from Job alerts in your account, or use the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
Can I see pay in my own currency?
Yes. On the job list or any job page, choose a currency under "Show pay in". We convert the pay using that day's exchange rate and show it with a ≈ sign, next to the amount the employer posted. The posted amount is what counts, so check it with the employer before you accept a job.
Can I save jobs for later?
Yes. Press the heart on any job. You need a free account to save jobs, and you will find them under Saved jobs.
Can I import my LinkedIn profile?
Yes. In your profile, choose Import from LinkedIn and upload the PDF you get from LinkedIn's "Save to PDF" button, or your LinkedIn data export. We fill in your profile for you to check before anything is saved.
Do I need a work permit?
If the job is not in your own country, you usually need a work permit, and the employer applies for it. CARICOM nationals may be able to use free movement instead. See our guides on work permits and CARICOM free movement.
What does "Verified" mean?
A "Verified" tick means we checked that the employer is a real, registered business and spoke to someone there. It is a good sign, but always use your own judgement and never pay for a job.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, CV, applications and messages.
For employers
How much does it cost to post a job?
Posting jobs is free while we launch. If we add paid extras later, prices will be shown before you buy and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
How do I post a job?
Create an employer account, add your company profile (name, location, logo and a photo of your property help a lot), then press Post a job. Most listings take about five minutes.
When does my job go live?
Straight away once you publish it, unless we need to check your account first. Listings stay open for 60 days. You can close, renew or duplicate them from your dashboard.
How do applicants reach me?
Applications arrive in your dashboard with the applicant's details and CV. Each applicant has a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with them on your phone, with a short message ready to send. You can also message applicants on the site and update their status so they know where they stand.
How do I get the Verified tick?
Email hello@caribbeanhoteljobs.com from your business email address with your business registration details. We check the business and speak to someone there before adding the tick.
What can't I post?
Jobs that ask applicants for money, jobs that do not exist, misleading pay or conditions, and discriminatory requirements. Read the full posting guidelines.
Can recruitment agencies post jobs?
Yes, if you say you are an agency, describe the employer and hold any licence the law requires where you recruit.
